After heavy snowfalls in Livigno during the first days of March, a group of snowboarders (Emanuele Grechi, Gregory Palmero, Andrea Bergamaschi, Andrea Pallotti, Alessandro Serra with Simone Salvatori as a  filmer)  devoted  their  time and passion to explore the great beauty of the backcountry of Carosello 3000 in Livigno. A real shout of freedom and cry of love for the mountains, for sports and especially for snowboarding, transformed into images in this video: Epic Powder Lines.

Emanuele Grechi (just back from a bad injury that kept him away from the mountains throughout the first part of the winter) says in a few words all about this fantastic experience: “Passion is like energy, it cannot be lost, it can only be transformed. For lovers of off-piste skiing, Carosello 3000 is the doorway to vast areas of fresh snow that are unmarked and not controlled, where you can satisfy your wish to ski surrounded by nature. Starting from the spaces at the side of the ski runs which are easily accessible to beginners to the more demanding backcountry areas or the skiing on the pure white peaks surrounding the valley, everyone can find an area suitable for their level of expertise.

Carosello 3000 offers to freeriders various instruments for making the most of their passion. At the Freeride Stations, set up at the top stations of the gondolas, you can find many useful information, a QR-code for downloading the resort’s avalanches bulletin in real-time, another QR-code to subscribe for Powder Alert service and, of course, the device to check the proper functioning  of your ARVA.

In addition, within the ski area you can also find two large Freeride Approaching Areas. Having a low avalanche risk and being completely surrounded by groomed trails and easy accessible in case of an accident, these zones are ideal to learn to ski off-piste in the safest way possible.

Carosello 3000 also collaborates with Tourist Office -  APT Livigno and with the Alpine Guides of Livigno in promoting  Heli-skiing ,  backcountry powder tours with expert guides,  and a freeriding model  that always puts  priority to the safety and the awareness of risks.
