Best places to snowboard in Switzerland

We think these are the best 1o resorts in Switzerland for Snowboarding.

  1. Davos

    The best overall resort in Switzerland offering something for everyone. Huge pisted area and excellent freeriding spread across 5 mountains, and not to mention the terrain park and 2 halpipes. Direct train services and good local services complete the package, but go mid-week to avoid the masses.
    Freeriding: 90% - Trees and excellent off-piste
    Freestyle: 80% - Good pipes and parks
    Pistes: 85% - Huge and varied run selection
  2. Verbier

    Extremely good resort with some of the best extreme terrain in Switzerland And the world for that matter. Some great summer riding too.
    Freeriding: 100% - Freeride paradise
    Freestyle: 60% - A solid terrain park
    Pistes: 90% - Pistes in all shapes and sizes
  3. Flims

    Excellent riding area
    Freeriding: 85% - Trees & some good off-piste
    Freestyle: 80% - 2 terrain parks & 2 halfpipes
    Pistes: 80% - Great condition & variety
  4. Laax

    Excellent snowsure resort with a good long season. The slopes are great for freestylers and freeriders alike, as well as suiting beginners. The resort can be slack at opening lifts and the off-piste gets tracked out within hours of a dump.
    Freeriding: 80% - Trees & some good off-piste
    Freestyle: 85% - 2 terrain parks & huge halfpipe
    Pistes: 80% - Great condition & variety
  5. St Moritz

    A bit posh in town but fantastic snowboarding. Best to avoid Corviglia and head to nearby Corvatsch or Diavolezza where the Freeriding is awesome.
    Freeriding: 85% - Some incredible backcountry
    Freestyle: 60% - Basic park & no pipe but decent natural
    Pistes: 80% - Great pistes everywhere
  6. Leysin

    First class ultra friendly snowboard resort with terrain to suit all levels and styles. Great freestyle terrain and ok for novices. Great local services.
    Freeriding: 85% - Trees, Bowls, Cliffs the lot
    Freestyle: 76% - Parks & Halfpipe
    Pistes: 74% - Very quiet slopes
  7. Nendaz

    Ride the 4 Vallees for less
    Freeriding: 90% - Big off piste
    Freestyle: 60% - Natural rules
    Pistes: 80% - Have it fast
  8. Zermatt

    Zermatt is an extremely good resort with some excellent freering terrain set in an incredible location. Nightlife is descent but you need to bring yours and someone elses wallet with you.
    Freeriding: 85% - Some trees and good off-piste
    Freestyle: 65% - All year terrain parks and good natural
    Pistes: 60% - Lots of cat tracks
  9. Anzere

    Most chilled out resort it Switzerland
    Freeriding: 75% -
    Freestyle: 65% -
    Pistes: 75% -
  10. Saas Fee

    Sass-Fee is a great summer snowboard destination, but because of it's extremely high altitude it can be sketchy in winter. Local services are great with a really good vibe in the town.
    Freeriding: 70% - Good but be vary of the cravasses
    Freestyle: 70% - A good park and pipe
    Pistes: 70% - Lot's of options
