Vail Resorts 2015-16 Upgrades

Guests can look forward to $50-million in new improvements combining Park City and Canyons to create one Park City across 7,300 skiable acres of terrain; the project is one of the most ambitious and impactful capital programs in U.S. ski industry history and will be ready for the 2015-16 winter ski season. The plan includes the eight-passenger two-way high-speed Quicksilver gondola with mid-station and new trails, upgraded King Con and Motherload Lifts, new Miner’s Camp Restaurant, snowmaking upgrades and restaurant renovations.

Vail Resorts will also invest approximately $10-15 million more in other resort improvements to elevate the guest experience, bringing its five-year resort investment total to more than $515 million. Improvements will include upgrading Vail Mountain's Avanti Express Lift to a six-passenger high-speed chairlift, expanding the "refreshing" snowmaking system at Beaver Creek, adding new snowmaking on the recently opened Peak 6 terrain at Breckenridge and rejuvenating the Keystone Lodge. More information on upgrades can be found at http://news.vailresorts.com.

Despite being an expensive location, this is a super good resort with great snowboard terrain, and excellent local services. If you want to ride an amazing park with something for every one and which is groomed and maintained daily, this is the place to come.

Beaver Creek

Beaver Creek

Great grooming and solid steeps - at a steep price Beaver Creek's steeps and rollers are great for freeriding, and the grooming is second to none. Beginners can also take advantage of their nationally ranked ski and ride schools. Nightlife is expensive, befitting the well-heeled crowd that prefers furs to fleece.
