It's glacier time
This weekend sees a number of Austrian glaciers opening for the season, with plenty of early season snow, things are looking promising.
The 34th Kaunertal opening kicked off yesterday and runs until Sunday. You can test the latest gear, ride the amazing Naturerun, and get absolutely battered at the numerous parties going on.
Along with the park you can ride the 700 meters downhill slope from Karlesjoch to Ochsenalm-middle station
Thanks to the excellent snow conditions, the Glacier Park on the Kitzsteinhorn near Zell am See-Kaprun, Austria, will open on the 12th of October 2019 with a first set-up! The Glacier Park offers a creative set-up on the glacier plateau from the 12th of October 2019 until January 2020. On the obstacles of the Easy Kicker Line, Medium Kicker Line and Jib Lines, riders can practice new tricks and refine their existing skills. Head shaper Martin Liebmann and his experienced team stand for the world-class quality of this “Skatepark made of Snow” and the other snow parks at Kitzsteinhorn.
From Saturday the Pitztal glacier opens for business and from the 16th October Pure Boarding are running courses to get those legs back in the grooze https://www.pureboarding.com/en/events/pitztal/
Over in Soelden the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers are open, but you either need to take the glacier bus up to the area or drive up there.
The Stubai glacier is already open for the season
The next weekend sees the 11th version of the Stubai Premiere event kick off which promises a lot of action with various side events by Red Bull, GoPro, Lib Tech, Burton, Salomon & DC. In the usual manner, a brand saloon with over 40 brands are once again providing their latest hardware, which is just waiting to be tested.
After a two-year break, the big opening party will finally be back in the „Freizeitzentrum Neustift” for the upcoming Stubai Premiere. Highlight of the party weekend forms the KKS Soundsystem hosted by KOOL SAVAS.
The dust has settled after last weekends Hotzone.tv park opening, there's plenty of area to ride and that awesome park setup is still going strong.
